  • I ADORE Doctor Who.

The listing price is for 1 pair of TARDIS inspired sterling silver drops

I was grinning all the time whilst sawing and filing these :-)

As with all the earrings I make, I will usually make a mini batch, so that I can then pair them up as evenly as possible.

In this instance I've sawn them from 0.8mm recycled sterling sheet and then soldered 0.8mm sterling wire to the backs so that they appear to float.

The first two pairs of these sold quickly, so I've made some more

I have three styles to choose from - option A is the solid and option B with windows cut out .

Option C has windows and the earwires are flat to the TARDIS

Drilling, sawing and filing the windows does take quite a bit longer, so they are charged slightly higher to reflect that.

The benefit of mounting the earwires in this way is that it's simple to adjust the orientation - you can have your TARDIS either flying through space and time (as shown at the jaunty angle on the window variant) or parked up in Trotter's Yard, and you will be able to make these adjustments yourself, dependng on your mood.

Each TARDIS measures (approximately) 12 x 9mm and will drop 28mm from your piercing.

If you would prefer I make you a pair of studs, then that can be arranged :-)

I have one pair of each ready to post,

Don't forget that each one made will be slightly different, due to being handcrafted.

***I make these to order, in little batches of three pairs at a time, usually within a week, but I do try to keep at least one pair ready for dispatch at all times***

I usually prefer all my Doctor Who pieces to be patinated, picking out the detail, but these I prefer with this near satin finish.

Bow tie, braces or super long scarf when you unwrap it, optional :-)

(Have you seen my pendants? I like to wear my TARDIS when I feel I might want to be rescued / whisked away, and my Dalek when I want something scary in my corner!)

    • Sterling Silver will eventually oxidise or tarnish. It's a natural process that can be slowed down by regular wear and by keeping unworn items away from the atmosphere. If you leave your jewellery out on display, this oxidisation will be faster.  You can polish up your items, with a soft cloth, some silver polish, or a buffing cloth such as Town Talk, which is readily available from any high street jewellers in the UK

Fine silver is 99.9% silver, and because of this the tarnish rate is much, much slower. Again, a buff should do the job for polishing it back up. If I have patinated your silver already, be gentle when buffing!

Each piece should stand up to regular wear, but , as with all jewellery, please remove it before washing, using chemicals or applying perfume etc

Apply body lotion and perfume a few minutes before putting on your jewellery to help slow down tarnish

The sterling silver used in these items was sold to me by my bullion dealer as certified recycled.

The gemstones I use have been sold to me by reputable dealers as untreated (unless stated specifically in the listing). They are a natural, organic creation from the earth and each one will be slightly different. You can see examples of this on my Facebook page.
I select the stones that I think go together best for each project, hence my comments that each item is individual.
